Ten participants from six different European countries came together for the first meeting of the EU-funded programme Place out! – European dialogue-building to increase youth protagonism in non-urban areas.
The project will be implemented in four local communities (Badajoz, Spain; Chalkidiki, Greece; Gabrovo, Bulgaria; Mugello, Italy). The participants had the opportunity to align strategically on the project implementation and discuss practical ways and tools to efficiently implement the project.
During the kick-off, the partners went through activities, timelines, and responsibilities. They engaged in meaningful dialogue among each other and with local organisations on the topic of youth policies in non-urban areas – all to boost the potential of Place out!.
They visited initiatives on space revitalisation in various peripheral areas of Mugello, met local associations and institutions, and actively engaged in implementing the activities of the following months. Most meetings took place in Mugello. On the last day, the partners were hosted at Impact Hub Florence, the headquarters of the Lead Partner Lama Impresa Sociale.
