Gabrovo is known for its family friendly environment being the safest city in the country and having endless oppurtunties to enjoy the clean mountain air whilst excersing. The city has an intense cultural life with many diverse and unique museums and was named Creative City of Crafts and Folk Art (2017) by UNESCO.
In addition, industry continues to be leading in its local economy due to its traditions, well-developed infrastructure, the presence of a technical university and a skilled workforce.

Map of abandoned, unused or underused spaces
During the first six months of the Place Out! project, local partners mapped a number of abandoned, unused or underused spaces in order to increase knowledge of the four project territories and to provide a possible basis for the dialogue between institutions and youth organisations foreseen by the project.
